Yes. Through our sister company Elect Automation, we offer machine control and automation packages, often integrated with iPower generation units. Our ethos: deliver the simplest, most resilient control system for the application. Automation scope can include PLC-based load management, remote monitoring and telemetry, motorised switchgear control, and custom HMI interfaces.

What is the MotoReel

The MotoReel is a proprietary product designed and built by iPower — a variable-speed, motorised, remote-control cable reel for safely deploying and recovering heavy copper power cable when connecting temporary or mobile generators to a load. Without a MotoReel, handling large-diameter cable manually is time-consuming and hazardous. The MotoReel is fully customisable in drum size, motor power and reel capacity, and can also handle rope, hose and flexible pipe.

What is peak load lopping

Peak load lopping means running a generator during periods of high electricity tariffs (typically early morning and early evening on winter weekdays) to reduce the amount of energy drawn from the grid at expensive peak rates. The generator runs in parallel with the mains during these periods, potentially reducing electricity bills significantly for large commercial or industrial consumers. It requires G99 compliance and a parallel synchronising arrangement.

What is synchronisation of generators

Synchronisation is the process of connecting two or more generators — or a generator to mains — in parallel on a shared busbar. To do this safely, generators must be matched in voltage, frequency and phase angle before the paralleling circuit breaker is closed. Specialist synchronising controllers manage all three parameters and issue the close command only when conditions are met. iPower designs and commissions synchronisation systems of all scales.

What are iPower's mobile power solutions

We design and build high-kVA generator and load bank installations on ISO 30ft and 40ft articulated trailer platforms. These can include: integrated fuel tanks, MotoReel RC cable reels, auxiliary generators, synchronisation controls and remote monitoring. They are fully customisable, built to order in Dungannon, and have been deployed across the UK, Ireland and internationally.
