What fuel arrangement comes with a hire generator

Our hire generators are delivered fuelled. For longer-term hire, we can arrange a fuel supply contract or bowser hire. All units have large-capacity base tanks to reduce on-site refuelling frequency.

How is generator hire priced

Can I hire a generator for a construction site

Yes. Construction is one of our primary hire markets. We understand project lifecycles, site constraints and the need for fast mobilisation. We can advise on correct kVA sizing, cable runs, fuel management plans and transfer switch arrangements.

Can I hire a generator to cover a planned power outage...

Absolutely. This is one of our most common hire scenarios. We supply the generator, carry out a site survey, agree a switching sequence with your electrical contractor, and ensure the temporary supply is properly protected and earthed. For critical buildings we can also provide the ATS and bypass arrangements.

Does iPower operate its own delivery vehicles for hire...

Yes. We use our own specialist vehicle fleet for delivery and collection of hire equipment throughout Ireland and the UK. We do not rely on third-party haulage for standard moves.

How quickly can iPower deliver a hire generator

In most cases we can mobilise within 24–48 hours for standard hire units. For synchronised or large-scale arrangements, contact us directly to confirm availability and lead time.

What does synchronised generator hire mean in practice

Synchronising two generators means running them in parallel — both connected to the same busbar, sharing the load. Our 500 kVA Volvo pair are configured for exactly this. Benefits: redundancy (if one trips, the other sustains the load), combined 1 MW output, and load-dependent efficiency (shed one unit at low load). We handle all the synchronisation control and commissioning.

Can iPower supply a 1 megawatt generator on hire

Yes. Our synchronised pair of 500 kVA Volvo generators delivers a combined 1,000 kVA (1 MVA). This is ideal for large construction projects, temporary supply to major buildings during switchgear replacement, industrial contingency cover, or large events with significant power demands.

What generator hire sizes does iPower Ireland offer

Our hire fleet includes 60 kVA, 100 kVA and 200 kVA units, plus a pair of 500 kVA Volvo-powered generators configured to synchronise together and deliver a combined 1 MVA (1,000 kVA) of hire capacity. This covers the full range of construction, industrial, event and contingency requirements.
