Delivering Bespoke Power Generation Solutions for the Oil Refinery Industry
iPower recently completed 2 bespoke dual-emission-compliant mobile generators tailored for use in the oil refinery and fuel storage terminal tank cleaning industry. This project showcased our expertise in creating advanced, reliable, and environmentally friendly solutions that adhere to strict international standards.
Built for the Task
This project required us to create mobile generator sets that could handle the unique demands of tank cleaning across refinery sites. Our solution was engineered to meet emissions regulations in both the US and EU, so the system could be used across different regions without worry. Plus, we made sure the generator could switch between EU and US supply voltages and frequencies at the flick of a switch. With both EU 400v and US 500v options available and a 50/60Hz selector, the transition between different power needs is seamless and easy.
Performance You Can Count On
We fitted the generator with a Yanmar Dual Certified Industrial Engine, which meets the latest EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage V emissions standards, meaning it runs efficiently and with minimal environmental impact, no matter where it's used.
The generator is housed in a custom high-performance acoustic enclosure, designed to keep noise levels down while ensuring it can run for extended periods. It’s perfect for the long tank cleaning jobs where uninterrupted power is critical.
Prioritising Safety and Simplicity
Safety and operational efficiency were paramount in this project. The generators were equipped with air inlet overspeed prevention valves, which are crucial in safeguarding against the intake of flammable gases—a critical consideration in the refinery environment. The system also featured manual and automatic controls for Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration, ensuring that the engine consistently operates at peak performance in line with manufacturer specifications.
For added convenience and safety, the generator sets included canopy-mounted emergency stop (E-stop) buttons and a remote, lockable fuel fill pipe, making operation as secure and convenient as possible.
